Pretty. We saw a forest of shaggy ink caps on Sunday – coarse brutes by comparison, but more to get your teeth into.

Are these ink caps then? I’m afraid that I’ve never learnt my mushrooms.

We had a lot of shaggy inkcaps too – they tasted good, but Ton won’t eat fungi I pick! We also had what I identified as parasol mushrooms, described as one of the best edible fungi – but they were getting a bit old I think, so didn’t try.
